Literature Text

"atop crumbled sheets"
clutching my prior
skin.
white hollow waves,
reminiscent of
struggle
-dream marks-
as I submit
to my inner illusion:
irregular
fascinating
awkward
inward
eye!
Once I was chasing my cherubic snake
-a wreckles line,
a portable river,
silver simulation
of serenity and grief.
But of all the tossing
and turning,
I am now
a motionless plain
receptor
of flooding mute light;
I swallow the words
as they arrive
in broiling fleets of
crystal cyclists:
spinning feet,
wavering hair-
blissful tomorrows remember Proteus
in their bare
adolescent arms.
But now
"we float",
the lace trimming has risen
to my knees,
a painless awakening,
stochastic traces -the debris of genesis- on the ceiling
awaiting
anew-
a longing.
"atop crumbled sheets" (from a Pearl Jam song of which i don't know the name)

"We float" PJ Harvey. as well as the title...
come to think of it i guess that is what the song "White Chalk" brings to mind...

the word choice in this piece is incredible...very complex. it slows the reader down..

I think that there are two weak points in this, the reader DOES need to slow down. We just can't digest all of what you are saying if it goes through our heads too quickly.

and

There is very little here that it concrete..I get lost of beautiful images and feelings but if I was asked to tell someone what this poem was about, I wouldn't be able to.

But this is some of the best word choice that I have seen in a very long time..very surreal.
